H.E.P. is a Swiss association which aims to support projects in the medical field, ecology and culture in Nepal and in the Himalayan mountains. Nepal, located between India and China is a country of 30 million inhabitants with an area of 4 x Switzerland. It has a high poverty rate especially in remote and hard to reach regions. The Himalayan Eye Project (H.E.P.) association was officially founded in Switzerland in 2019 according to article 60 of the Swiss Civil Code. Its main purpose is to support projects in the medical field, more specifically in ophthalmology as well as in other faculties (Gynecology, ENT, Radiology, etc.) and cooperate with private and government institutions. Training for medical and technical staff is one of our objectives, as well as the search for donations and the implementation of operational strategies to support the various projects. We cooperate with Foundations and NGOs from Switzerland, France and Germany to ensure the continuity of long-term projects.
